Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Company Information

DB Destiny is a tour operator registered in Finland, providing online travel booking services, curated tour packages, accommodation arrangements, transportation coordination, and guided travel experiences across East Africa and Finland. By using DB Destiny's website, platform, apps or services, customers agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

DB Destiny facilitates:

  • Travel and tour package bookings
  • Accommodation reservations
  • Transport coordination
  • Guided tours and experiences
  • Customer support related to travel services

DB Destiny acts as an intermediary between customers and third-party service providers such as hotels, transport companies, guides, and local operators.

3. Eligibility to Use Services

Customers must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have legal guardian consent
  • Provide accurate personal and travel information
  • Have valid travel documentation including passports and visas where required

DB Destiny reserves the right to refuse service where information is incomplete, misleading, or unlawful.

4. Booking Process

All bookings are made through DB Destiny's online platform or official communication channels. This means that all bookings and services booked through DB Destiny's website, platform, apps or services can be handled by DB Destiny team in case of any claim of services, refund and cancellations. Customers cannot deal directly with service providers.

Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by DB Destiny only. A booking becomes valid only after payment confirmation. DB Destiny reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings if services become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Payments and Financial Transactions

Payments may be made using credit and debit cards, bank transfer, and other approved electronic payment systems available on our website, platform, apps or services, all powered by Stripe. Only Stripe has the right to collect and store our customers' full card or banking details.

6. Pricing and Package Information

Prices displayed include services clearly listed in each tour package or service description. There are no additional costs beyond the displayed price.

Optional activities or services such as photo and film services for journey memories, local cultural events, or local places to visit are displayed separately with their own prices and are voluntary to pay. Once they are added to a package, they will be considered as part of the itinerary.

There are no local or cash payments required unless the customer wants to make personal expenses. Regarding tips, it is advisable to use the tipping method in the system. Customers can make cash tips or other gifts to service providers at their own will.

Some services such as visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, and government fees are not included unless stated. DB Destiny reserves the right to update pricing due to exchange rate changes, supplier costs, or regulatory requirements.

7. Separate Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refunds, cancellations, amendments, and no-show conditions are governed by a separate Refund and Cancellation Policy which forms part of the service agreement and will be provided to customers prior to booking confirmation.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate personal and travel information
  • Ensuring passport validity and visa compliance
  • Following safety instructions and local laws
  • Maintaining appropriate travel insurance coverage
  • Arriving on time for scheduled activities and transportation

DB Destiny is not responsible for losses resulting from customer negligence or non-compliance.

9. Health and Safety

Customers acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks. Customers are responsible for:

  • Required vaccinations and health precautions
  • Medical fitness to travel
  • Compliance with health regulations of destination countries

DB Destiny shall not be liable for health issues arising during travel if it was not communicated and agreed upon beforehand in travel arrangements.

10. Force Majeure

DB Destiny shall not be responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government actions, or transportation disruptions.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, designs, images, text, and materials belong to DB Destiny and may not be copied, distributed, or used without written permission.

12. Data Protection

All personal data is processed in accordance with DB Destiny's Privacy Policy and GDPR regulations.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in Finnish courts.

14. Amendments

DB Destiny reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be published on the platform and take effect upon posting.
